The Hawaiian word Mana describes the spirit, energy and essence of the islands.
Island Mana's tropical fruit wines seek to capture the feeling of Mana, the beautiful beaches, dramatic na pali (cliffs), stunning sunsets and incredible tropical fruit in every bottle. We put our Mana and Aloha into our wines by handcrafting small lots of all natural fruits and juices.
I started the Island Mana line while living on the Island of Kauai in the State of Hawaii. Prior to moving to Hawaii, I had attended wine school in Oregon and founded Bodichitta Winery in 2009. I began my journey in wine through cooking, pairing great meals with wine from all over the world. After trips to famous wine regions around the world, I soon discovered Oregon and its beautiful, nuanced Pinot noirs.
Both labels are locally made in small batches, usually less than 200 cases, with Bodhichitta showcasing Oregon grape wines (Pinot gris, Chardonnay, Marechal Foch, Pinot noir, etc.), honey wines (mead) and dry fruit wines (rhubarb, apple, blueberry, blackberry), while the Island Mana Hawaiian wine label consists of dry, tropical fruit wines, sourced from all natural and organic fruit.
The Island Mana and Bodhichitta wines are available exclusively online and in the our tasting rooms in Hawaii (Waikiki, Honolulu on the Island of Oahu), downtown Portland, Oregon and Manzanita on the Oregon Coast, just south of Cannon Beach.
I hope you can stop by for a tasting, flight or glass of wine and enjoy one of our many wines or order here online and we'll ship that next tropical sunset directly to your doorstep. Watch for the green flash!
Much Aloha to you and mahalo for taking the time to visit us!
A hui hou,
